Aggie Johnson, LMSW-C
Aggie began pursuing an education in mental health in 2012 at Oakland Community College and later graduated with an associate's degree in social work/mental health in 2014. Aggie continued her education and graduated from Wayne State University in 2020 with a bachelor's in social work. Continuing at Wayne State University, she earned her master's degree in social work in 2021.
Aggie specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, grief & loss, trauma, depression, personality disorders, pre-marital & marital counseling, ADHD, anxiety, self-esteem and confidence building- with a goal of developing practical and realistic strategies to improve a greater wellbeing and mental health.
Aggie partners with the client and provides psychoeducation to help clients manage, cope, heal, and overcome. As a woman of faith, Aggie is passionate about empowering others and upholding the dignity and worth of a person no matter their race, beliefs system, cultural norms, or life experiences.
As the women's pastor of her local church, Aggie can also provide faith-based therapy as a part of treatment at the client's request. Aggie believes in the power of a listening ear and the value of wise counsel.
